Today was spent relaxing and biking around the campground. The sun has been intense and they have been breaking records for high temps these last few days. Today it was 86 degrees. We decided to take it easy today and hang out around the campground rather than go shelling and spend another full day in the sun.
We went to a pool party hosted by the campground and listened to Yard Dog Charlie sing a few tunes. He sang songs like, “I don’t look good naked any more” and “You can drink ugly pretty but you can’t drink stupid smart”. And then he sang this one about getting old…
We visited Bokeelia today (small town at the end of Pine Island) to learn about taking a ferry to Cayo Costa to go shelling. We got our tickets and we will visit the island next week for a full day of shelling and fun! Tomorrow…off to Sanibel Island and Captiva for some shells!
